Dr. Fried & Partner at the Munich Marathon

16.10.2018

“Whoever wants to move the world should first move himself” – Socrates

With this motto, the team of the Munich based consultancy Dr. Fried & Partner started at the 33rd Munich Marathon as a relay.

In contrast to 10 ° C and drizzle during our participation last year, our youngest newcomer Fenja Weberskirch started her run over 6.8 km in the Olympic Park in wonderful sunny autumn weather. Detached by Lisa Schmidtke, who covered a distance of an impressive 14.5 km, Andreas Kailbach started as our third team member in the relay over 10.8 km. The final spurt over the remaining 10.1 km completed Sandra Wolf with excellence. Finally, all four participants were running together, beaming with the sun, with an amazing finisher time of less than 4 hours into the Olympic Stadium.

Afterwards they met at an Italian restaurant  for lunch to refill the energy level. We are proud of our runners and look forward to another certificate now decorating the walls of our office. Regarding the sporty ambitions of our entire team, we look forward to the Munich Marathon 2019, with probably two Dr. Fried & Partner teams!

Why is a consultancy doing this? We have 3 excellent reasons!

We are a team

A marathon relay strengthens the sense of community. Our employees train in advance together and during that time you get to know each other more personally and motivate each other. During the relay race itself, one relies on the teammate already waiting at the changeover point and motivating each other for personal bests. Everyone contributes to the overall success!

We laugh together

The certificate and the many beautiful pictures will keep this day in our minds for a long time. Forget the tedious training phases or desperate search for his relay partner in the transition zone – what remains is the fun, the exuberant mood and the common success!

We are getting stronger

Sport enhances mental and physical well-being – we firmly believe that sport is an integral part of a balanced life and we would like to proactively help our management consultants integrate sports into their everyday lives. We value the fact that our employees are ambitious in sports and face common challenges outside of their daily work routine. A shared experience and even better, a shared feeling of happiness, connects.

We are looking forward to the next year, when it says again: Oans, zwoa, drei, RUN!
