Dr. Fried & Partner donates to the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP

The year 2019 is slowly coming to an end and the contemplative Christmas days are just around the corner. Christmas stands for being together with family, contemplation, gratitude and charity. After a successful year 2019, Dr. Fried & Partner would like to support others with a donation. To promote education in developing countries, this year’s donation goes to the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP, which promotes school construction projects worldwide.

Chances for a better life through education

Reiner Meutsch began his life’s adventure in 2010, travelling to 77 countries on five continents. His passion for flying took him around the world and on his travels he got to know the locals of different cultures. He reports about his experiences as follows: “Some encounters have touched me deeply. In personal conversations people told me how different their lives would have been if they had had access to school education. This gave me the desire to move and change something”.

It was precisely from this thought that the idea for the foundation was born, because school education should be a basic requirement for every child in the world. Through opportunities for education, the quality of life improves significantly and promotes “help for self-help” in developing countries. On his travels he has therefore already started the first five school construction projects in Ghana, India, Brazil, Rwanda and Indonesia. By the end of 2019, 330 school construction projects in 44 countries will have been completed, enabling children from developing countries to attend school every day.

Eligibility criteria: Sustainability, transparency & trust

The eligibility criteria are based on sustainability, transparency and trust. The Reinhard Meutsch Foundation works consistently according to the principle of “helping people to help themselves” and always provides a local person of trust to accompany the project. By regularly checking the construction work or ensuring that the teachers’ salaries are financed, the funding criteria can be checked. The transparency is shown in the disclosure of the donations. In this way, the FLY & HELP Foundation can ensure that the donations arrive in full where they are needed. The administrative costs of the Reiner Meutsch Foundation are borne in full by the founder himself.
