Dr. Fried & Partner donates to the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP

The year 2020 is coming to an end, leaving deep traces but also a rich experience in all our lives. No one expected a pandemic that would bring the whole world to a complete standstill. Measures led to restrictions and isolation but also to creativity, innovation and mindfulness. Christmas is coming and being together with family or closest friends has taken on a whole new meaning. Despite the crisis year, Dr. Fried & Partner would like to support others with the help of a donation. This year, the donation will again go to the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP.

The main goal of FLY & HELP is to support school education worldwide. With the financial support they can build new schools in developing countries. The former managing director of the tour operator Berge & Meer, Reiner Meutsch, fulfilled his lifelong dream and invested in a small plane to fly around the world. In January 2010, the founder of the foundation became the tenth German to fly around the world in a small plane, visiting and supporting aid projects in Ghana, Rwanda, India, Indonesia and Brazil. For this purpose, he founded the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP in 2009. This year, Reiner Meutsch received the Federal Cross of Merit – the highest German award for special services to the common good – for his extraordinary commitment and his dedication to the education of disadvantaged children worldwide. Since FLY & HELP was founded in 2009, 450 school projects in 45 countries have been realised with a total funding volume of approximately 21.4 million euros. More than 85,000 children have been given the opportunity to learn to count, write and read.

We would like to thank Reiner Meutsch and his team for their strong commitment and congratulate them on receiving the Federal Cross of Merit. We at Dr. Fried & Partner would like to contribute to this important project with our donation.
