QTA Initiative – The big online discussion about commissions

15.05.2020

During the major online discussion on commissions on May 14, 2020, Dr. Markus Heller, Managing Partner of Dr. Fried & Partner, had the opportunity to discuss the model of collective agreements for stationary travel agency sales proposed by QTA with industry experts Thomas Bösl (QTA spokesman), Mark Tantz (Managing Director of DER Touristik Deutschland), and Georg Kern (Deputy Editor-in-Chief of fvw, moderator).

Collective Agreements as a Future Scenario for Stationary Sales

The idea of the collective agreement goes beyond the commission contracts commonly used today with their sometimes complex incentive logic of booking volumes and growth parameters. In addition to safeguarding the economic interests of the travel agencies, the aim of QTA is to increase the efficiency of support processes for travel agents by tour operators.

Dr. Fried & Partner supports the QTA project

The QTA is still in the conception phase with regard to the concretization of content. In a first step, Dr. Fried & Partner is supporting the QTA by conducting an online survey among the approximately 7000 travel agencies of the QTA. The survey will be carried out promptly.

We are very much looking forward to conducting the survey and to a lively participation of the travel agencies.
