Intensive political week for Dr. Fried & Partner in Berlin

08.09.2023

In the function of the office of the National Platform for the Future of Tourism (NPZT), Dr. Fried & Partner was able to actively accompany the tourism policy process at the federal level. The week started on Monday with exciting preparatory discussions for the first steering committee meeting of the NPZT.

The LK meeting itself then took place on Tuesday at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) and served as the kick-off of the long-term strategic dialogue process with representatives of the federal government, states, destinations, industry and science.

Our political week was rounded off on Wednesday with workshops and discussions at the inter-factional expert meeting on the topic of “How do we make tourism fit for the future?”. This covered topics such as the vision, funding structure and financing of sustainable tourism, challenges in outgoing tourism and ways to allow all people to participate in tourism.

The team of the office would like to thank the coordinator for tourism and maritime economy, Dieter Janecek, the tourism policy spokespersons of the coalition factions, Stefan Zierke, Stefan Schmidt and Nico Tippelt, as well as the participating members of the steering committee for a successful meeting and is looking forward to further inspiring dialogues and the further development of exciting initiatives within the National Platform Future of Tourism.
